Before you begin painting the pistol, unscrew any of the peripherals that you do not want to paint, such as the feeder or the barrel. Remove any loose paintball gun parts as well, such as the bolt, which may be removed using a set of Allen keys. Masking the sections you don't want to paint with paper and tape is a good idea. This must include any gun openings.
Spray the pistol with the lightest paint you have on hand and let it dry completely. After that, flip it over and apply the same paint to the opposite side.
